CompetitorMonitor.com was the next competitor pricing monitoring tool for me to check out, and I have to say it was a relief to find this one as it ticked every box.
All I had to do was pop my email in a box on the website and I got access to a trial account for a couple of weeks right away, much more convenient.
Anyway, I best explain my reasons as this was the tool I went ahead with and still use to this day!
Functionality
Spot on. This tool does everything you could need, not too little, not too much, and even a child could interpret the results they’ve made it that easy to use.
You log in, get an overview of what changes have happened, and can easily look into them further. No wasting time having to choose pointless reports like what % price changes to display and what not. You log in and get told what you need to know right away, so it doesn’t take up more than a few minutes out of your day. There are of course customisation options and the ability to choose how the results are displayed, but you aren’t overloaded with all these options on log in.
Results can easily be exported to CSV.
I found this to do everything I need, which is tell me when price change, new products are added, products removed, and also to make recommendations on what I should be doing, as well as showing trends of what my competitors have been up to.
Emails are great, you can choose key products to be emailed out to your separately also.
Ease of use
Matching is an absolute doddle on this one. The great thing is that you don’t have to leave the application to do it, and you can match across all your competitors’ sites on the same page! On InSite Track you have to go into your competitors products and then match them up to yours one by one, and repeat that for all sites (and of course the CPW method is a huge hassle).
You can tell they’ve focused on ease of use as it is impossible to get confused using this software, and that even applies to matching. I really like the way they display results, making it very clear what changes have happened.
Interface is nice and is very easy to navigate around.
Value for money
The price for this tool is astronomically lower than other places, and I liked how they listed the prices on the site.
They have no set up fees which was a big selling point for me, and I also liked the way their accounts work. Basically, they will monitor every single product on your competitor’s sites for you, and you have the option of matching them or not matching them.
Customer service
One of those companies that talks to you on a personal level and is always super happy to help you out even if it is something small. Also live chat on the website was a plus. Oh and they did a great deal for me since I monitor quite a lot of websites, so don’t be shy to ask
